Amanda Main Ferguson 

Amanda has lived in the 4th school board district for most of her life. She grew up and went to school in Lexington, at Maxwell Elementary, Morton Junior High, and Henry Clay High School. Amanda graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. and departmental honors in Psychology and obtained an M.A. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University. Still, some of the best teachers she ever had were in the Fayette County Public Schools.

She and her husband, Todd, a Bryan Station High School graduate, have been married for 33 years. They taught their three children to believe in the value of education, and they all completed 13 years in FCPS, graduating from Henry Clay High School.
