Asking hard questions, isn’t always popular, but it is necessary to make sure FCPS students receive the resources they need to thrive. Amanda Ferguson isn’t new to this. She’s spent more than a decade serving Fayette County Public Schools, including three earlier terms on the school board. 

She is a parent who has served as a PTA volunteer and SBDM council member and now serves on the school board, helping plan for and manage Fayette County’s current school facilities. She knows that behind every budget number is a teacher, a student, a family and a classroom. 

Being on the school board means asking hard questions, listening to teachers and families, and making sure our school budget is built to support students. 

She’ll keep showing up, keep asking questions, keep standing with educators, and keep putting students first.
